He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Pelloat Smith and Walker B. Smith Sr.; his siblings, Marguerite "Wootsie" Smith Scott, Walker B. "Buddy" Smith, Jr. and Jenny Lee Smith Baggett; his stepson Robert "Robby" Gill, Jr.; and his grandmother Rea.
He is survived by: his close friend Sandra Rea Smith; his wife Sandi of Weyanoke, LA; his children, Joel F. "Jody" Smith Jr. of Weyanoke, LA, Jennifer Smith of Costa Rica and Josh (Lidia); and his stepdaughter Stacy Gill of Weyanoke, LA.. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and loyal and loving friends.
