She was predeceased by: her grandchild Devon; her parents, Euzebe Plaisance and Leonel Dufrenese Plaisance; and her sister Rachel Plaisance (late Ovide). She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn B. Ohmer (Randy), Chris Borras, Glenn Borras, Melvin Jr. and Brian; her grandchildren, Misty, Brad, April, Jamie, Kaycee, Chad, Jordin, Joshua and Emma; her siblings, Jacob Plaisance (late Marion), Ethel McAllister (late Holly), Gideon Plaisance and Rita Boudreaux (Nathan); and her close friend Leroy Theriot. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
