He is survived by: his grandchildren, Dana Sampey, Hayley Sampey and Hayden Sampey; his great grandchildren, Blair Watts and Bailey Rivarde; his siblings, Minnie Eula, Donald, Idabell, Delmar "Whitey" and Dennis Ely; and his siblings-in-law, Marie, Robin Toups, Joe Rousch (Faye), Ester Hammill, Ellen Reidie (BJ) and Pearl Chatelain. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and dear friends.
