With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Acosta of Westwego, Louisiana, who passed away on August 14, 2020 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Herbert J. Chaisson; her parents, Clemcy Legendre, Sr. and Lorena Robinson Legendre; and her siblings, Audrey Legendre Vicknair, Morgan Legendre and Clemcy Legendre, Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Acosta; her children, Geralyn C. Johnson (Greg), Michael J. Chaisson, Martha J. Chaisson, Theresa C. Pierce (Danny), Dennis G. Chaisson (Kathy) and Morris P. Chaisson (Terri); and her siblings, Roy Legendre, Earl Legendre (Eva) and Edna L. Hicks (Gordon). She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren; and 19 Great-Grandchildren.
