He was predeceased by: his father Cleveland Barnes Jr. (Eunice); and his siblings, Cleveland Barnes, Joseph Barnes, Curtis Ruffin, Juanita Shade and Barbara Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Chris, Christopher Gray and Daywana McClaurin; his siblings, Brent Ruffin (Shelia), Betty Moten (James), Judy Ruffin (Herman) and Stacey Martinez (Sergio); his stepbrothers, Tyrone Ruffin and Kenyatta Bender; his uncle Henry Barnes (Edna) of Los Angeles, CA.; his aunts, Francis Walker of Los Angeles, Mary La Boone and Annie Thomas of Fort Washington; and his godmother Theresa Easlie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Because of the Covid-19 Virus, there will be Private Family Memorial for Mr. Edward Barnes which will be held at a future date.
