It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Louise Core of Westwego, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 10, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Cavalier, Jr. and Virginia Cavalier; her brother Ferdinand Cavalier III; and her nephew Marvin Cavalier. She is survived by: her children, Desiree Edwards, Deidre Core, Lester Core, Jr. and Dione Core; her siblings, Thomas Cavalier, Timothy Cavalier, Delores Alfred, Donna Walker, Anna McKinney, Angelina Cavalier, Michael Cavalier, Donald and Ronald Cavalier; her nephew Ernest Alfred; and her siblings-in-law, Rev. Charles McKinney, Sr. and Charlotte Cavalier. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
