She was predeceased by: her husband Julius A. Laurent, Sr.; her parents, Wiley Savoie and Eva Doucet Savoie; and her sibling Bernel Savoie Marcomb. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Merrill, Wendell and Julius A. Laurent, Jr.; her children-in-law, Denise Roig Laurent (Merrill), Dr. Glen Heiss (Wendell) and Erin Kelly Laurent (Julius, Jr.); her grandchildren, Dr. Morgan Cookmeyer (Eric), Juliana, Grace, Sarah Sanders (Jeffrey), Claire and Emily; and her great grandchildren, Baby Cookmeyer, Monroe and Tyler.
