She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Allen; her parents, Robert Shirley and Pauline Fitzsimmons Shirley; her son Jeffrey Andrew Allen; and her sister Sue Ellen Cavender.
She is survived by: her children, Ilva Grace Shirley, Anna McKeigan, Stephanie Darbonne (Dwayne) and Joshua Scott Allen (Becky); her grandchildren, Sarah, Corey, Mason, Kristen, Cody and Heather; her siblings, Steven Shirley and Tommie June Gillies (Bruce); and her brother-in-law Steve Cavender. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
During her working years, she was employed by the American Cancer Society and ultimately retired from the Morehouse Parish School Board as a Special Education Paraprofessional.
