It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Wayne Newman of Westlake, Louisiana, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cooney Newman and Freda Murphy; his stepfather Eddie Murphy; and his sister Barbara Brown. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Fontenot Newman; his son Benjamin Matthew Newman; his stepchildren, David Fontenot, Jessica Fontenot and Eva Burnett; and his grandchildren, Michal Perry, William Perry, Rhiana Fontenot, Ethan Burnett, Jace Burnett and Peanut. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made towards final expenses at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
