It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Gary (Westlake, Louisiana), born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on September 18, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Joe Lindsey; his daughters, Bridgette Gary and Sandra Batiste; his siblings, Joe, James, Jessie, Patrick and Susie Gary; his granddaughter Adleene "Niecy" Simien; and his stepsons, Joseph and Edward Simien.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Simien; his stepchildren, Gracie Anderson (Phillip), Donna Davis, Shirley Barnes, Jerry Ozan (Linda) and Tommy Ozan (Karen); and his grandchildren, Deon Simien (Inkka), Shawndrea Simien (Joe), Isaiah Simien, Johnny Jones, Wilford Jones Jr., Zandra Walker (Mike) and Lashanai Spencer. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
