He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Ackleson and Jennie Ackleson; his sons, Thomas Ackleson and Michael Ackleson; his brother Ed Ackleson; his granddaughter Jessica Mills; and his great grandchild Chance.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma Craig Ackleson of Westlake; his daughter Judy Vander Luit (Martin) of Bowmanville; his daughter-in-law Diane Ackleson of Lake Charles; and his sister Nancy Mason of Ridley Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westlake Senior Center, 2001 Jones Street, Westlake, La., 70669.
