He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Stanley Newman and Rose Williams Newman; his brother Ned Newman; his sisters-in-law, Beth Denton Newman and Marie McNair Newman; and his son-in-law Steven Terry.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Carpenter Newman; his daughters, Pamela Newman Terry, Kathy Newman Reljac (Joe) and Lynn Newman Koons (Scott); his grandchildren, Melissa Reljac and Kelly Joseph Reljac; his great grandchild Elle Marie Brandon; and his brothers, Robert E. Newman (Opal) and Ted F. Newman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
