She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Scarborough and Onnie Hodge Scarborough; her husband J. W. Bishop; and her sister Nell Smith. She is survived by: her children, Reggie Bishop (Bridgett), Kevin Bishop (Pam) and Deborah Shuman (Ken); her grandchildren, Tyler Bishop (Cara), Ryan Bishop, Eric Bishop, Kelsey Bishop, Ashlynn Shuman and Payton Shuman; her great grandchildren, Teagan Bishop and Camdyn Bishop; and her sisters, Eloise Smith and June Murphy (Robert). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
