It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Vance (West Monroe, Louisiana), born in New Edinburg, Arkansas, who passed away on September 19, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sisters, Emma Jean Sims and Dorothy Mosely; his siblings-in-law, Frances Thornton White, Jackie Thornton White, J. R. Cubage, Richard Thornton, Kenneth Thornton and Marion Thornton; and his parents, Thomas Aubrey and Johnnie Mae Offutt Vance.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Thornton Vance; his son Scott Vance (Wendy); his grandchildren, Alexa, Bailey, Christian, Moriah, Lily and Jordan; his son Brett Vance (Deborah); his grandchildren, Justin (Katie), Jarrod (Angela) and Jonah; his great grandchildren, Everett and Emilia; his son Lane Vance (Cindy); his grandchildren, Holton, Aubrey and Caroline; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Thornton (Joyce) and Peggy Thornton.

The family will receive condolences thirty minutes prior to the service and requests that those in attendance wear masks.

I can still hear the tone of his voice and remember his stance: one hand directing and one hand by his side or even in his pocket. I have such wonderful memories of your entire family at West Heights.
