He was predeceased by: his sons, Tommy Hale, Jr. and Bob Hale; his parents, Earl Thomas and Opal Trevillion Hale; his siblings, Margie Harrell and Albert Hale; and his grandson Matt Whitehead.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jean Hayes Hale; his daughters, Vicky Valle (Michael) and Dianne Acree (Wayne); his daughter-in-law Tracy Hale; his grandchildren, Rachel Vogt, Leslie Valle, Melissa Valle, Shane Acree, Eric Acree (Sherry) and Monica Lackhouse (Dustin); and his siblings, Lester Hale (Darlene), Billy Hale (Brenda) and Earlene Austin. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
