He was predeceased by: his wife Bobbie Murray; his parents, Allen Oliver and Annie Mae Murray; his sisters, Lucille Robinson, Dorothy Mae Parker and Ann Truelove; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Faye Murray and Noots Adams.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Jane Adams (Larry), Karey Ann Murray and Rhonda Kaye Dowdy (Tony); his siblings, William Harold Murray (Mary), Beatrice Adams, Joe Allen Murray, Sr. and Linda Dale Thompson; his niece Sharon Murray; his nephew Joe Allen Murray, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Duncan, Rodney Frith, Jr. (Christina), Lindsey Sullivan (Scott), Cassedy Frith (Sarah), Kelsey Redding (Chase), Jacob Frith (Kimberly) and Mahaley Rone (Tyler). He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
