He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Wheelis; his father David Wheelis; his sons, Phillip Wheelis (Lyndy), Patrick Wheelis (Amanda) and Adam Wheelis (Kalah); his grandchildren, Blake Wheelis (Breanna), Alaina, Peyton, Christian, Anna Kay, Hayden, Kensley, Presley, Averley, Camden, Kendall, Emerson and Everleigh; and his siblings, Mike Wheelis (Janice) and Sheri Lindsey (Todd).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church (215 Mt Vernon Church Rd, West Monroe, LA 71292). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the Rutledge Cemetery.
