He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Young; his brother Dwayne Young; his mother-in-law Ruby Ainsworth; his grandparents, Herbert, Catherine Adams, Guy and Anna Young; and his stepbrothers, Gerald Stevenson and Greg Stevenson.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Nicholas and Matthew; his mother Loye Stevenson; his stepfather Wayne; his sisters, Susan Young and Tina Johnson (Chris); and his pet Easton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
