He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Barrett and Blanch Barrett; his son Jonas Trevor Kemp; his brothers, Ronald and Donald Barrett; and his brother-in-law Carroll Odom.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Barrett; his siblings, Nadine Odom, Travis Barrett (Patty) and Danny Barrett; his sisters-in-law, Pam Barrett and Tonia Warner; his grandchildren, Christian Gullette, Zayden Perkins, Jaley Jo Wilson and Faith Robertson; and his great grandchildren, Cash Albritton, Cross Albritton and Christabella Madison.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Church West Monroe (208 Lincoln St, West Monroe, LA 71291).
