He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gilbert and Otta Baker Gilbert; and his brother Dr. Robert D. Gilbert (Danny). He is survived by: his wife Anne Callens Gilbert; his sons, Justin L. Gilbert and Anthony W. Gilbert (Christina); his grandson Brayden Gilbert; his siblings, Joyce E. Sharp and James A. Gilbert (Evelyn); and his godchild Roxane Shirazi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and numerous relatives.
