She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Jowers and Mary Jowers; her husband Mitchell Whitehead; her siblings, Jewel (Velma), Horace (Louise), John (Carolyn), Clarence (Bessie), Raymond (Bernice), Margarette Jowers (Tommy Roberts), Irene Jowers, Simmons Jowers and Evelyn Jowers; her great grandchildren, Kyle Beaux Phillips and Brian Mitchell Whitehead; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Bishop.
She is survived by: her son Barry Lynn Whitehead (Jeanie); her grandchildren, Sheila Cobb (Landel Hamm), Samantha Cobb (Mandy) and Brian Whitehead; her great grandchildren, Richard Hamm, Kacee Hamm Gilbert, Danny Phillips, Savannah Phillips, Macy Whitehead, Harley Cobb and Alayah McKnight; her great great grandchildren, Raelin Hamm and Baby Pardue; her sisters-in-law, Laverne Wright and Melba Bonnett; and her close friends, Oscar Lee "Rat" Townsend and Sharon Case. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
