She was predeceased by: her husband David L. Caperton; and her son Gregory Monroe Thompson. She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Andrew Thompson (Phyllis Pickett) of Holly Ridge, Michael Layne Thompson (Patricia Hamm) of West Monroe and William Trey Thompson of Colorado; her brother Pliny William "Penny" Pennebaker, Jr. (Nell); her nephews, Todd (LynnAnne) and Rodney (Dawn Pennebaker); her sister Barbara Sue Pennebaker Graham of West Monroe; her niece Ginger; her daughter-in-law Christy Skinner Thompson; her grandchildren, Alicia Thompson Mayeaux (Mickey), Kirk Thompson, Savannah Thompson, Landon Thompson, Nicholas Thompson, April Morgan Hale, Sarah Morgan Miller (Brian), Toni Morgan Navarro (John) and Matthew Morgan (Krista); her aunt Betty Thompson Williams; her friend Debbie Townsend; and her grandsons, Tate Thompson, Garet Thompson and Ladd Thompson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
