He was predeceased by: his father Melvin; his wife Linda Powell; and his siblings, Robert Norman, Ray Powell and Geraldine Knight.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Banzo (Rene), Luther Allen Powell, Jr. and Melvin Powell (Reba); and his adoptive children, Mike Holland, Mike Smith, Lindsey Ashley and Misty Holland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grand-child, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
