She was predeceased by: her husband Glen Edward Carter; her sons, Timothy Earl Carter and Brandon John Carter; her grandson Dakota Lynn Carter; her great grandchild Corey James Carter; her parents, J. Q. Whitlock and Dettie Whitlock; and her siblings, J. Q. Whitlock, Gene Whitlock, Butch Whitlock and Pat Barnette.

She is survived by: her son Eric Carter (Janet) of Jonesboro, LA; her sister Johnnie Mae Brister of Monroe, LA; her grandchildren, Nicole Carter, Tyler Carter, Olivia Kate Carter, Lucy Carter, Sadie Carter, Penny Carter, Della Carter-Ligon and Kaci Wyman; and her great grandchildren, Jett Carter, Beaux Carter and Eden Carter. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
