It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Newton Cheek of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Sicily Island, Louisiana, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Cheek and Lucille Cheek; his siblings, Jerry Woodard (Jack) and Edward Cheek; and his daughter Angelia Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughter Elisa Bourgeois (Jody); his sister Sherry Cheek Baldone (James C.); his grandchildren, Chad Bourgeois (Cibele), Emily Kerley (Joseph), Katelin Hubbard (Michael) and Matthew Lee (Anna); his great grandchildren, Lyla, Lucas, Nora, Olivia, Samuel, Logan and Mary Grace; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Cheek, Eva Ruth Barber and Sophia Paul.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mulhearn Funeral Home - West Monroe (300 McMillan Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
