He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman McLain and Alberta McLain; and his siblings, Eugene, Charles, Howard and Patsy.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Miller (Mark), Jeannie Smith (Scott), Kylie Adams (Jason) and Kenneth McLain, Jr.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
