It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katie McKnight of West Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Donald McKnight; her parents, Dal Rowton and Georgia Rowton; and her siblings, Donna Bridges, Charles Rowton, Gail Fletcher, Ronnie and Gary Rowton.

She is survived by: her children, Christy Hays (Brian), Amanda McKnight and Brandon McKnight; her brother George Rowton; and her grandchildren, Destiny Howell, Cody Rowton, Hunter Smith, Dakota Rickman, Alana McKnight, Set, Brayden and Asher. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

“Kathy and I were best friends for many years. We drifted apart when her and Donald moved to Texarkana. I knew her parents and siblings extremely well. Our fathers use to joke with each other that they needed to build a house for us half way between our houses. We were almost inseparable for several years.
