He is survived by: his children, Jane Thomas Ball and Buck Thomas; his grandchildren, Jennifer Kolb, Bart Copes (Liz), Scott Thomas (Bridget), Perry Thomas and Seth Copes (Kara); and his siblings, Doyle Wheat (Carolyn), John Wheat (Brenda) and Ila Mae "Pal" Burnette (Mac). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
