He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Ann Pruett; and his son Jeff Pruett. He is survived by: his children, Laurie Scott (Kenny) and John H. Pruett III; his wife Ruby Pruett; his sister Martha Ann Thomas; his grandchildren, John J. Pruett, Aaron Pruett, Jackson Pruett, Bo Scott (Shelly), Michael Scott and Katie Scott; his great grandchildren, Kennedy Anne Scott, Joel Anthony Scott, Hayden Pruett and Makenzie Pruett; and also Andrew Pruett (Brenda).
