He was predeceased by: his parents, James Merkland and Louis Ozelle Hundley Herren; and his brother James M. Herren Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Danuta O. Herren; his daughters, Kristina Tompkins (Kevin) and Renata Herren (Brandon Garcia); his grandchildren, Ben, Caden Tompkins and Asa Bradshaw; and his sister-in-law Jeannette Herren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
