He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Herrington and John Alexander Hummel III (Jack); his brother Eric Thomas Hummel; his grandparents, Marie Louise Hummel, John Alexander Hummel Jr., Tom and Callie Bearden; and his aunt Beverly Hummel Hooper.
He is survived by: his daughter Chelsea Marie Hummel; his grandchildren, Jack Hummel and Lucy Soignier; his son John Alexander Hummel V; his grandchildren, Jamison and Madison; his sister Natashia Fontana (Jeff); his son Eric Dean Fontana; his sister Heidi Nugent; his stepbrother Steve Eyre Jr.; his stepmother Kathy Hummel; his cousin Kim Hummel Kennedy (Todd); his daughter Lexie; his uncles, Wayne, Gary, Kurt (Uncle Kool) and Glenn Hummel; and his aunt Nancy. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
