It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie James Wells (West Monroe, Louisiana), born in Greensburg, Louisiana, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilfred and Susie Harrison Wells; his son Jason Wells; and his brother Johnny Wells. He is survived by: his son Daniel Ross Wells (Tamara); his grandsons, Huxton Ross Wells of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Colson John Wells of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sisters, Linda Allen of Walker and Penny McCrossen (Joe) of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; and his friend Rita McGrew Wellbrink of West Monroe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Griffin F. H. (911 Warren Dr, West Monroe, LA 71291). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home (911 Warren Dr, West Monroe, LA 71291). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the North East Louisian Veterans Cemetery (2413 US-425, Rayville, LA 71269).
