He is survived by: his wife Linda Gatlin Dowdy; his children, Brad Dowdy and Jennifer Dowdy Hamilton; his grandchildren, Kristen Dowdy, Caleb Chavers (Mallory) and Kaden Dowdy; his great grandchild Laken McClain; his siblings, Robert Wayne Dowdy (Ruth) and Bonnie Dowdy Daugherty (Larry); his siblings-in-law, Nancy White Dowdy, Gail Gatlin Johnson and Robert Gatlin, Jr.; and his mother-in-law Louise Wink Gatlin.
