He was predeceased by: his parents, Claudine Sanders and Joe Sanders; his brother Johnny Sanders; and his nephew Mark Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Clanton Sanders; his children, Sharron Lewis (Samuel) and David Sanders; his grandchildren, Emily Alexander (Philip), Katelynn Daniel (Claude), Maya Lewis and Nathaniel Lewis; his great grandchild Adalynn Grace Daniel "Addy"; and his siblings, Linda Furr and Mike Sanders. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
