He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce Moore and Mildred Moore; his parent-in-law Cortez Meyers; his siblings, Dorothea, Sharon and LeLand Moore; his daughter Amee Held Soriano; and his children-in-law, Kim Moore, Fred Held and Randy Black.

He is survived by: his wife Michelle; his children, Patti Chapman (Bruce) of Sterlington, LA, Denea Black (Sam Joyner) of Columbia, LA and Troy Moore (Kathryn) of Covington, LA; his brother Mike Moore (Beth) of Monroe, LA; and his son-in-law Mario Soriano of Milford, CT. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
