“I had the great privilege of being apart of Providence Baptist College during Doc’s time. He made Providence fun. He loved each and everyone of us like we were his own. I have so many wonderful memories of just sitting and talking with him while I helped him with his phone lol. He will be missed so much but his Legacy will live on in so many of us.”

Cameron Weage wrote a sympathy message

“One of the things I loved most about "Doc" Peters was the way he called things out for what they were and was pretty plain sometimes. One day in the summer of 2014, he was having a hard conversation with me for my good. I'll never forget him saying, "Cam, one day you'll look at me in a box and you'll never be able to say I didn't care." I love you, Doc. Thank you for being a true friend to this young man.”

“Our deepest sympathies for your family in the passing of Doc Peters. My children had him as a principal, and then again in college at Providence. All 3 of them had personal relationships with him and he was an important influence in their lives. Thank you so much for sharing him with us. We will only know the impact he had on so many lives in heaven someday. We loved him. Greg, Cindy Harris.”

Jeremy Huston wrote a sympathy message

“It was a blessing to meet Doc Peters at MCB Football Camp while I was in my late teens. I later looked forward to every interaction that we had while I attended Northwest Bible Baptist Church during college. Now as I serve as the Dean of Men at Providence Baptist College, I recognize the high bar he set while serving in the position I now hold. He was a man of great compassion & wit; no one around him ever doubted his love of life & others. He was truly a great man. I am better for knowing him!”

“Praying for you all and just wanted to thank you for loving your brother so much. He talked of you all often and loved you dearly. His life and example to all of us has made impacts only Heaven can tell. He left the American dream of a great paying job to serve His serve and in turn be a part of so many serving the Lord across the world. We loved Doc and in turn we all love you!”

“Praying for you all! I dont think we will ever know the extent of the reach of Doc's influence until Heaven. I wish I could see all the crowns that Doc will have from the life he lived for Christ, and then see him humbly cast them all at Jesus feet. His love for Christ, and for life was infectious. Thank you for sharing Doc with us... what an incredible person. He will always be remembered,”
