He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Duchesne and Eula Duchesne; and his brothers, Robert Duchesne, Thomas Duchesne, Roylee Duchesne and Clyde Duchesne, Jr..

He is survived by: his son James R. Duchesne (Rosie); his grandchildren, Zachary James Duchesne (Emily), Stephanie Farmer (Jordan) and Jason Elliott (Kimberly); and his siblings, Floyd Duchesne (Elaine) and Evelyn Hill.
