He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Young and Emma Lula Young; and his siblings, Robert Young, Tommy Young, Opal Ray and Shirley Truett.
He is survived by: his wife Bettie Tippen Young; and his daughters, Ginger Young Clark (Dewayne), Cindy Young Bohannon, Wendy Young Traweek (Carlton), Lindy Young Brown (Allen), Melissa Young Boyd (Chip), Jessica Young Hancock (Terry) and Betsy Young Ortega (Anthony). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren., and a host of relatives and friends.
