He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thatcher, Sr. and Jimmy May Thatcher; his sister Betty Ann Dubois (Charles); his brother-in-law Maurice Colton; and his niece Amy Jean Cotton.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Faye Battaglia (Gerald); his grandchildren, Jerri Lanell Brunson (Jerry), Katherine RoseAnn Battaglia (Eric Poland) and Charles Battaglia; his stepdaughter Margaret RoseAnn Golden (Danny); and his siblings, Mary Helen Cotton and Shirley Bonnette (Breard).
