He was predeceased by: his wife Hilda Clara Ray; his daughter Diane Gunter; his son-in-law Carroll Gunter, III; and his granddaughter Christine Gunter. He is survived by: his brothers, Malcolm Ray and Sheldon Ray; his children, Karen Felder (David), Lynne Tolar, David Ray (Joyce), Laurie Hendrix (Roland), Kevin Ray (Terri) and Michelle Sweet; his grandchildren, Carroll Gunter, IV (Summer), Russell Gunter (Yuri), Jeannie Hildebrand (Chris), Michael Felder, Heather Felder, Eric Felder (Lauren), Jason Tolar (Nikki), Brandon Tolar, Hollie Travis (Aubrey), Brian Singson, Lindsay Tyson (Ryan), Jessica Mills (Jesse), Justin Hendrix, Megan, LeAnne Bounds (Zac), Danielle Williams, Madison Ray, Trevor Sweet and Kaitlyn Sweet; his sisters-in-law, Mable Ray, Patsy Ray, Dolores Pancrazi and Yvonne Donnelly; and his half-sisters, Sharon Worsham and Trudy Cranford. He is also survived by 34 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
