He was predeceased by: his parents, Almer Davis and Mattie Wilder Golson; his son John Gary Golson; his grandson Marcus Cerda; and his siblings, Carol Golson and Charles Golson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Golson; his children, Glenn Golson Jr. (Jodie), Terri McAshan (John), Susan Monroe, Linda Cerda (Karen Povenmire), Gregg Golson (Barbara), Mary Bryant (Barry), Molly Golson (Tracy Byers), Margaret Butler (Larrie), Joseph Golson (Madonna), Michael Golson (Beth) and Rebecca Sehnert (Claude); and his sister Nancy Aswell. He is also survived by thirty grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
