She is survived by: her husband David L. Johnston; her children, Jana Johnston Cox (James, Jr.) and Brad Johnston (Sharon); her stepson Ken Davis (Mary); her grandchildren, Addison Goff, Kendall Goff, J. W. Cox, III, John Cox, Hannah Johnston Posey, Sarah Johnston, Faith Johnston and Emily Johnston; her great grandchildren, Grayson Ember Posey and Neeko Everest Posey; and her siblings, Carl Owens, Wamul Owens and Faye Haddox. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or First Baptist Church in Monroe.
