He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Hodnett and Susie Hodnett; his siblings, Christine Benson and Alton Hodnett; his mother-in-law Fannie Daniel; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hodnett and Betty Benton.

He is survived by: his wife Doris; his sons, Vince Hodnett (Katina), Joey Hodnett (Pam), Lance Hodnett (Christy), Jason Hodnett (Haylie) and Justin Hodnett; and his siblings, Pauline Hall and Vyron Hodnett. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
