She was predeceased by: her husband John W. Cootes; her parents, Percy Hollis and Lucy Powell Hollis; her siblings, Garland Hollis, Martha Hollis, Louise H. Thompson, Estelle H. Foster, Daisy H. Green and Evelyn H. Foster; and her grandson Timothy Maurer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Catherine Ann Edelen (Keith) and Shirley Jean Maurer (Jimmy Draughn); and her grandchildren, Ricky Lynn Wheeler (Melanie), Sheila Rene Wheeler, Billy Ray Wheeler and Cynthia Ann Wheeler. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
