She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Leon Sims; her parents, Prudie Howington and William Howington; and her brothers, Charlie, Clarence and Luke Howington.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip Sims (Alma) and Barbara Fontenot (Warren); and her grandchildren, Benny, Alicia, Nathan LaGrone, Paul Fontenot and Mike Sims. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Church.
