He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Gilbert Meador; his parents, Auda Meador and Mary Lea Meador; his siblings, James Meador, Johnny Meador and Barbara Childress; and his brother-in-law Paul Fontana.

He is survived by: his sons, Lance Ray Meador (Sonja) and Derrick Dewayne Meador; his grandchildren, Dakota, Landon and Meg; his siblings, Margaret Fontana and Hilman "Buddy" Meador; and his sister-in-law Maxine Bryan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
