Tippen Sr. of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Chatham, Louisiana, who passed away on June 15, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Tippen and Amy Robinson; and his siblings, Alson V. Tippen (Verla), Aral Ellis, Varal Cockerham (W. O.), Colleen Chatham (Doyle) and Amy Barker (Bobby).

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Tippen; his children, Donald C. Tippen, Jr. (Diane), Bryan Keith Tippen (Theresa), Steven A Tippen (Darla) and Amy Nugent (Kyle); his grandchildren, Brooke Ashely Tippen, Ashlyn Edwards, Savanna Edwards, Frances Julianne Tippen, Bryan Keith Tippen, Jr., Steven Brent Tippen, Stephanie Lynne Tippen, Steven Tyler Tippen, Hunter Tippen, Ben Netherland, Lilyana Solis and Taylyn Tippen; his great grandchildren, Brakston, Brice, Baylor, Konnor and Jillian Elizabeth Tippen; and his brother Dervis Tippen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
