It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denson Walters of West Monroe, Louisiana, born in Gilbert, Louisiana, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Noel Ford Walters; his parents, Tom Henry Walters and Ethel Rushing Walters; his siblings, Thomas Walters (Lucille), Clinton Walters (Katherine), Winston Walters (Sue), Dovie Denham (Ira), Lessie Bentley (Roy), Effie Whitfield (Whit) and Bonnie Vaughn (Billy); his siblings-in-law, Pauline Floyd Bottom, Griffin T. Floyd, Joe Bottom and Billy Ford (Wanda); and his son-in-law Jack Dollins.
He is survived by: his children, Denny Walters (Janet) and Sharon Dollins; his granddaughters, Jade Fowler Martin (JW), Jessica Walters Scarola (Marco) and Shelbi Bradberry; his great grandchildren, Aiden Lowe, Bentley Johnson, Solomon Martin, Lucy Martin, Dahlia Martin and Dillinger Martin; and his brother Robert Walters (Barbara). He is also survived by nieces and nephews; along with extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Homes - West Monroe (1321 N 7th St, West Monroe, LA 71291). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
