He was predeceased by: his parents, Brooks Cobb and Olean Cobb; and his brother-in-law Dicky Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Janice Cobb; his sons, Scott Cobb (Leigh), Dennis Cobb, Jr. (Stephanie) and Wade Cobb (Nicole); his grandchildren, Kyle Murphy (Rob), Stephen Cobb, Mason Cobb, Eli Cobb, Cameron Cobb, Bentley Cobb, Madison "Madi" Cobb and Ainsley Cobb; his great grandchild Valerie Claire Murphy; and his siblings, Stanley Brooks Cobb and Nina Taylor Ray (Bobby). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
