She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Gates and Alice Gates; her siblings, Homer Gates, Clyde Gates and Ann Pearrow; and her granddaughter Diedre Cobb.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Martin (Bill) and Buddy Stokes (Sherry). She is also survived by five granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
